Applications are invited from eligible Indian Citizens for appointment as Probationary Officers (POs) in State Bank of India.
Vacancies:Total Vacancies for General: 1837
Total Vacancies for PWD: 60

Eligibility Criteria:
(A) Academic Qualifications: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification. Those who are in the Final year of their Graduation/Semester may also apply.
(BAge Limit:21 - 30 years

Application Fee: Rs.500/- (for SC/ST Rs.100/-)

How to Apply: Online only
Candidates will be required to register themselves online through Bank's websitewww.statebankofindia.com , www.sbi.co.in . After registration candidates are required to pay the requisite application fee through offline mode by generating the cash voucher/ challan form (or) through online mode by using debit /credit card / Internet Banking.

Selection procedure:
Selection procedure consists two Phases.
Phase-I: Objective (200 marks) & Descriptive (50 marks) Tests
Phase - II: Group Discussion (20 marks) & Interview (30 marks)

Online Application starts from: 07.04.2014
Fee Payment - Online: 07.04.2014 to 25.04.2014
Fee Payment - Offline: 10.04.2014 to 28.04.2014

Scheme of Examination:
The Objective Test will be online. Immediately after online Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered. The Objective Test with 2 hour duration consists of 4 Sections with 50 questions each as follows.

a) Test of English Language (Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc.)
b) Test of General Awareness, Marketing & Computers
c) Test of Data Analysis & Interpretation
d) Test of Reasoning (High Level)
e) Descriptive Test
Note: Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests.
